Meet Maria Fe Picar
Maria Fe Picar (She/Her) is an Actress, Dancer, Choreographer, Director, Producer and Writer originally from the San Francisco Bay Area and currently living in the Portland Metro Area. She is the co-founder of the film production company, Asian Mainstream Productions that highlights diversity, particularly in the Asian American community.
As an independent filmmaker since 2005, Maria believes in collaboration between other filmmaking artists being able to assist others in producing their stories. She also believes in keeping old school filmmaking techniques alive by being on actual sets and working with people that are considered professional in their fields- and not utilizing AI.
Filmmakers should be storytellers first and foremost and being versatile and flexible to the trials and tribulations that may arise in all phases of film production from pre-production to post-production.
