Who We Are
Meet Jordan Ramirez
Hello! I’m Jordan Ramirez, host and creator of Film Talk with Jordan Ramirez. My passion for movies began with Disney’s The Lion King (1994) and grew after discovering The Last Picture Show (1971), which inspired my interest in filmmaking and classic cinema.
Film Talk began as a radio show at Hillsborough Community College, airing from 2014 to 2017. After graduating and experimenting with blogging, I relaunched the show as a podcast dedicated to filmmakers, independent cinema, animation, and the stories behind the screen.
I was diagnosed with autism as a young child. My experiences have shaped my identity and taught me to overcome communication challenges, learn from mistakes, and share my story with confidence. Through the podcast, I hope to connect with others and celebrate diverse voices in film.
